All you need is an old cabinet door or board, good glue and a little paint. I use a white paint color called Snowbound by Sherwin Williams as the base color and then I add a light glaze to the whole piece to give it that old stained look. I like to use Tea Stained Glaze by Ralph Lauren for the glaze. I typically go hunting at old home supply stores, trade days, silent auctions and estate sales for the old door knob pieces so it creates an original old home look.
You can easily make one of these jewelry displays yourself if you just take some time to do some bargain hunting, painting and glueing. Just to the right is the finished product! My jewelry loves its new home!
